Hok Huat Group is principally involved in processing fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude palm oil, palm kernel, palm kernel oil and palm kernel expeller (PKE). Except for PKE where the commodity is mainly exported overseas, the palm oil products are sold locally to palm oil refinery mills for refining into useful ingredients in making a wide range of food and non-edible items of daily consumption such as margarine, shortening, detergents, personal care and cleansing products.

The palm oil milling processes in our mills use proven systems ensuring that the quality of end-products meet the standards recognised in the industry for moisture content, dirt and shell content, free-fatty acid (FFA) and deterioration of bleachability index (DOBI).

In order to promote vertical integration of supply chain, the Group also provides logistic service in the haulage of FFB and palm oil products for improving the efficiencies of distributing and delivering raw materials supplied to and end products sold by sister companies in the Group.

Our steadfast commitment in reducing GHG emissions has propelled the Group to invest in and operate a biogas plant using biomass in the form of biogas derived from anaerobic treatment of palm oil mill effluent (POME). The biogas is a source of renewable energy for generating grid electricity that has contributed favourably towards supplementing the Group revenue as much as minimising greenhouse effect on environment.
